In this session, Karla Shores, Performance Management Dir. will share how Cigna redesigned performance management by implementing more frequent quality conversations and eliminating performance ratings. The discussion will provide a brief overview of the redesign as well as a deeper dive into some of the tactical aspects of the process. Specifically, it will present some of the common challenges that can arise when redesigning performance management and how Cigna addressed them. Karla will share some critical lessons learned during the roll-out process, which began in 2015, current success going into Year 2+, results of an in-depth impact study conducted with CEB, as-well-as key areas of focus for 2017/18.
