Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The company’s core focus is the development and commercialization of novel therapeutics based on RNA interference (RNAi) for genetically defined diseases, and was founded in 2002. Karen Anderson joined the company two years ago with the opportunity to basically grow the organization from the bottom up. Since then the employees have grown from 165 to 500, new offices have opened in Switzerland and the UK, as well as a new manufacturing facility in Cambridge, Mass.
