During this workshop, we will work through examples of how to tackle three of the barriers preventing HR teams from realizing their goal of better leveraging data in decision making.
- How to incorporate a predictive model into making a business decision;
- How to plan your organization’s analytics needs; and
- How to identify talent and organize an analytics team.
First, we will provide the output from a predictive model. We will discuss how to evaluate the quality of the model and how to leverage the output into a decision.
Second, we will explore how to plan an HR organization’s statistics needs. We will go through an illustrative example. At this point, attendees can opt to plan for their organization’s future analytics needs.
Third, we will discuss two case studies illustrating various points about building and maintaining an analytics team. Then we will provide an example for attendees to address. At this point, participants can opt to rethink the composition and structure of their organization’s analytics team.
**Participants are encouraged to bring a list of company objectives or key decisions that can benefit from leveraging applied statistics results and their laptop with spreadsheet software (like excel) installed.
