As a member of the Transformation leadership team, Wagner is co-creating the future of our consulting services organization by engendering a growth-mindset culture, and reinventing the way we lead and work at IBM. Prior to this role, Wagner was leading IBM’s Leadership and Management Development global portfolio with a focus on the IBM signature leader experience, from aspiring managers to executive leaders. Wagner has been a Leadership/Organizational Development Consultant, Executive Coach, and HR strategist for over 20 years, and his thought leadership on the future of HR and leadership has shaped IBM’s Transformational agenda.
Wagner leads a diverse team of consultants, designers and practitioners who apply a multi-disciplinary approach leadership development based on agile and design thinking principles. Wagner fosters a culture of innovation across his organization by leading self-directed teams whose curiosity generate experiments and engender an environment of continuous learning. Prior to joining IBM, Wagner worked with Fortune 500 companies as an independent leadership consultant helping teams reinvent themselves and achieve new levels of performance. At IBM he has held other roles in HR, including Talent Management leader for GBS, and HR Business Partner for the Financial Services Sector, and most recently, Director of Management Development transformation. Born and raised in Brazil, Wagner is fluent in Portuguese. He is also a champion of diversity at IBM.
