Mr. Buzachero has 30+ years of senior management experience in healthcare and human resources. Most recently, he served at Scripps Health as Corporate Senior Vice President, Office of the President and Corporate Senior Vice President for Innovation, Human Resources and Performance Management from 2001 – 2017. He will maintain the position of CHRO Emeritus with Scripps Health.
Over the span of his career, Mr. Buzachero has led new programs for leadership development, service excellence, reduction in employee turnover, and improved employee satisfaction. His leading and innovative efforts at Scripps were recently recognized by Workforce Magazine in their 2017 Workforce 100: Ranking the World’s Top Companies for HR. His efforts at organization development and effectiveness were recognized by Franklin/Covey with a 1999 “Organization of Excellence” award.
Mr. Buzachero joined Scripps from the Providence Health System and prior to his tenure there, served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development for the Banner Health System and as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the Samaritan Health System (now a part of Banner). He has also held senior executive roles with Presbyterian Health System (Texas Health Resources) and Baptist Health System.
He is a frequent speaker at the national level on topics of Succession Planning, Great Workplaces, ROI in Healthcare, Executive Compensation and Labor Relations. Additionally, he has served as a Board of Director for various corporations and has published numerous articles in Human Resources and Healthcare publications. Mr. Buzachero received a B.S. in Manpower and Industrial Relations form the School of Commerce and Business at the University of Alabama and earned an M.B.A. from the School of Business, Samford University in Birmingham, AL. He also has a lifetime designation as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.
