Vice President for Talent Development and Inclusion, Mercy
David Simmons serves as Vice President for Talent Development and Inclusion for Mercy, an integrated delivery system with 30 hospitals, 40,000 co-workers and 5,500 medical staff. He is responsible for the design, delivery and implementation of solutions that build leader and manager capabilities, enhance co-worker engagement, and improve the team and individual performance levels to help drive business results. Simmons applies over twenty-five years of varied HR experience, an undergraduate degree in human resources management and graduate education in strategic organization leadership and management, to provide guidance on effectively assessing, developing and coaching talent and building team engagement.
His current focus is the development and implementation of systemwide and regional HR/OD programs, including onboarding and talent management programs, change management initiatives and co-worker engagement surveys to support and reinforce development.
