Creating a Healthier Hawai‘i is more than a mission statement; it’s the daily work of every employee at Hawai‘i Pacific Health, which hosts the state’s only burn center, and only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. Recognizing that a healthier Hawai‘i begins from within, Hawai‘i Pacific Health leveraged the synergistic interaction of wellbeing and engagement to advance engagement levels from the 39th to the 89th percentile, winning the prestigious Gallup Great Workplace Award 6 of the last 7 years. In this session Hawai‘i Pacific Health leaders will share specific strategies implemented around wellbeing, engagement, communication, succession planning and accountability that have led to world class quality, patient experience and financial outcomes.
