This powerful one-day program utilizes a combination of best practices, case studies, authoritative research, and practical self-assessments, tools, models (including John Mattone’s “Stealth Leadership” Model) to equip line leaders with the knowledge, skills and passion to become superior Talent Leaders. Ultimately, participants learn that superior Talent Leadership is both an art and science — requiring they balance accountability for executing the 4 D’s:

Deployment — selecting, onboarding and transitioning talent;
Diagnosis — monitoring and measuring individual and team capability;
Development — developing individual and team capability; and
Demarcation — accurately measuring and rewarding individual and team performance.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand and articulate the numerous internal and external Talent Leadership challenges your organization (and you as a leader) encounter.
  • Understand and articulate the relationship between the relative strength of the 4 D’s (and how effectively you execute the 4 D’s as a leader) and your ability to successfully combat any internal or external challenge
  • Understand and articulate the predictive relationships that exist between: the 4 D’s, key human capital “leading indicators”, individual and team performance, and ultimate operating metrics
  • Establish a common language, vocabulary, and set of principles for establishing a powerful Talent Leadership mindset and culture throughout your organization.
  • Understand and apply the skills and techniques that will enable each leader to excel in the execution of the 4 D’s:

Duration: A two-day, highly interactive course taught on-site or online with case studies, assessments, worksheets, and activities.

Deliverables: All participants will receive the following:

  • Reference slides with notes section for each presentation slide used in the Program.
  • An individual Talent Leadership Audit tool that each participant will use in the Program to identify their own strengths and development needs as a Talent Leader.
  • Authoritative content and reference material to reinforce what was learned in the Program
  • The Human Capital Index (HCI), authored by John Mattone, that each participant can use with their own organization to benchmark the relative health and vibrancy of their organization’s Talent Leadership practices.

Audience: This course is specifically designed for operations leaders (non-HR) at all levels who are being asked to attract, select, onboard, engage, motivate and retain employees within their organization or government entity.
