“It’s not rocket science. It’s 20% commonsense and 80% people skills.” These are words of wisdom that my grandfather shared with me when I asked: What does it take to be a great leader? I’d like to share how these words have served as the foundation of change management strategies that we’ve delivered in support of some of the world’s largest business transformations, including the separation of HP and most recently, HP’s acquisition of Samsung Printing.
Change is complex and ever-present. It’s also tough. But when you look at it through the eyes of your employees and put them at the center of what you do, you can create an environment where change is not only seen as needed but wanted.
