Summary



While social media continues to have a profound effect on the way we are able to connect and share with people outside the office, many organizations in the energy industry have been slow to recognize the value they can bring to the workplace. This results in continued inefficiencies as well as missed opportunities to improve innovation, productivity and engagement. Ultimately, the power of social technologies hinges on the full and enthusiastic participation of employees who are not afraid to share their thoughts and trust that their contributions will be respected. Creating these conditions is far more challenging than implementing the technologies themselves.
