As businesses augment their operating strategies to shift with economic, political, and social demands faced today so to must our Employee Network/Employee Resource Groups. As ENGs/ERGs grow, the more critical they become to a business’s ability to attract and retain top talent, development and engagement employees, and increase their ability to attraction and expand their customer reach. ENGs/ERGs are a huge resource of talent and for diversity of thought. At MGM Resorts, we have shifted our focus in how we leverage our Employee Network Groups in ways we have never done before. In only four years, our ENGs have gone from social groups to business resource group to corporate social responsibility groups to a combination of all three. These shifts have allowed the ENGs to gain the momentum needed to sustain their success. In 2018 we saw a 43% increase in membership.
