Building the talent pipeline means growing skills and capabilities at all levels of the organization, but providing professional development opportunities for employees in a 24-7 operation can present a number of challenges. Formal learning and development offerings are typically targeted to managers and above, leaving line-level employees with few options.
This session will focus on a unique approach to creating structured self-directed learning paths, available to all employees in the organization, with the intent of developing leadership skills, building internal networks and providing diverse employees with the structure and autonomy to approach career development on their own terms.
In this session, learn how to implement a self-development process that strengthens the talent pipeline while promoting an inclusive environment.
• Employees select from a menu of development activities
• Requirements for completion can be completed at the employees’ chosen pace
• Completion of each track prepares employees to be preferred candidates for internal roles
• While each track is targeted to a specific career stage, the program is available to all employees who choose to join an Employee Network Group so there are no restrictions to prevent participation
